The 103rd District Assembly

of the Chicago Central District

Departmental Annual Conventions:

Sunday School Convention -- TBA

Please note that this is a significant change in the time of year for this Convention. The November date will provide training and materials for a Fall/Winter Sunday School growth and outreach effort.

District NMI Convention -- June 15-16, 2007

Note: Olivet Nazarene University

 is making some non-air-conditioned rooms available for District Assembly guests.

 Women will be housed in Williams Hall. Men will be housed in Chapman.

2006 Cost for a room was $15 (without bedding), $18 (with bedding).

Five Goals and Initiatives for 2006-07 Fiscal Year

1.  Continue to Develop the Zone Mission Strategies and Rallies

2.  District Churches participate in Discipleship and Nurture through The Quest, and Marriage Enrichment emphases.

3.  Explore ReStarts at Morris, Hickory Hills, Dolton, and Watseka.

4.  Increased resourcing of ministerial preparation through training programs offered through district-sponsored modules, Olivet Nazarene University, Nazarene Bible College and Nazarene Theological Seminary.

5.  Develop of an Urban Evangelization Plan, developed by an Urban Evangelization Task Force appointed by the District Superintendent and District Advisory Board.
